These fine cloths are block printed by hand in a small village near Jaipiur, India. In India, craftsmen have preserved the art of block printing, an ancient tradition passed down from generation to generation. His artisans prepare rich shades of dye from the myriad of colors found in nature. Hand carved blocks of teakwood are used to apply each design with more than one hundred studied movements.
